TCP/IP Socket interface

Discussion created by ca.portal.admin on Jan 30, 2007
Hi everyone,

I would like to know if anyone has implemented in production an
application using the R16 TCP/IP Socket inferface support.

Thank you,

Re: Cobo/ cics
"It has been a few years now, but I used to support a
PL/I application that used the Assembler interface to
IDMS (because the version of PL/I wasn't supported)
and updated successfully between IDMS, DB2 and VSAM. I
think they all played by the rules of 2 phase commit
under CICS.

One thing to consider is your Backups (Disaster
recovery and general). We found (the hard way) that we
backed up the various databases at different times and
updating was still occurring. The first recovery we
had records out of synch and had to do some manual
intervention.

Hi,

Any experience or recommendation with Cobol / CICS
programs updating IDMS
and DB2 data within the same program ?

Thanks
Maria

Re: DCMT DISPLAY LOCK STATS
"Good idea about the cushion in pool 255. If this group is willing, perhaps
they could share with everyone the size of pool 255 and the cushion size, if
any, they established.

One CV we have has 16MB in pool 255 and 0 cushion.
