Unsorted indexes

Discussion created by ca.portal.admin on May 31, 2007
Can someone please tell me- How do you define a system-owned index that
is unsorted? And also, why would you want to? Is there some advantage
in an unsorted index as compared to a sorted one? Thanks in advance.

Re: DCMT V PR nnnnnnnn NC
"If you DCMT VARY LOADLIB OFFLINE and then VARY LOADLIB ONLINE all the
programs in that LOADLIB are flagged for New Copy. I don't know if there
is something similar for Dictionary Load Areas - they have the problem
of having to get rid of the pre-allocated Loader Run Unit before they
can be taken OFFLINE. If you are able to do the same thing for the Load
Area as for the LOADLIB then perhaps the New Copy would apply to
everything loaded from that Load Area?

HTH - cheers - Gary
