[IDMSVENDOR-L] Journal report 8

Discussion created by ca.portal.admin on Jun 26, 2007
All,

We are having difficulty with the ""DBKEY"" clause of the Culprit syntax
on the JREPORT8. Here is what we are using:

SELECT TYPE EQ ('BFOR' 'AFTR') AND =20

DB-KEY-A EQ (X'2E565306') =20

=20

I have also tried decimal format but I still can't seem to get it right.

=20

Can someone help?

=20

Thanks,

Jim

RE : Journal report 8
"Hi,

If the radix is 8 (255 record per page) the db-key is 3036755-006. The
DB-Key must be specified in hex.

"Did you try the following format?

JREPORT=8
SELECT TYPE EQ ('BFOR' 'AFTR') AND
* DB-KEY-A EQ (X'2E565306')
The '*' is important on the second line. It must be in column 1.

but could you run with stats on for 2 or 3 days a month to get a benchmark

Linking ADS built-in functions with ADSOMAIN
"We have now implemented this change on all of our production CV's. We
run different applications on each CV. Every CV saw a reduction in CPU
used, although the amount varied depending on how heavily BIF's are used
by each application. Below are the average decreases in CPU used by ADS
dialogs on each CV:

CV #1 3%
CV #2 5%
CV #3 12%
CV #4 24%
CV #5 2%

If your ADS/O applications are BIF-intensive, you can really benefit
from this change.

"Thanks, Gary (and others). This is very helpful.

Alas, our billing is done from these stats as well, so we really can't
turn them off.
