Re: Support Connect product list

Discussion created by ca.portal.admin on Oct 15, 2007
Kay -

I didn't lose ALL products, just the one I care about most - IDMS-DB.
I lost it from 2 sites I do work for.

I opened an issue with Support Connect and they asked me to send them
proof
that we are authorized to use this product.
Yeh, well, whatever.......

I see GENERAL IDMS ROUTINES listed as a component, but this doesn't
really
list much in ""Published Solutions"".

Thanks.

Subject: Support Connect product list

Several weeks ago, all of our site's IDMS products disappeared from the
Support Connect product list, making it impossible to open problems
online. After working on this problem for a month, the Support Connect
(not the same group as IDMS support) final solution is as follows:
- All IDMS products appear in the list with a question mark (?) and
the literal ""EN"" inserted somewhere in the name - location varies.
- ""General DBIO"", the category that I use the most, appears as a
sub-component of Database Analyzer, which is part of the IDMS tool kit.

Is this normal? Does everyone else's product list look like this?

Support Connect is a POS and CA doesn't care. I've had an issue open
almost a year. Our IDMS Support folks care, but those other clowns,
what a joke. I was assuming the -EN stood for English.

Subject: IDMS 16 Apars QO91007 & QO91008 problems
Hi,
Looks like these apars QO91007 (SP0/1) and QO91008 (SP2/3/4/5) can
cause
D003 problems with ADSC. At least the 91007 one does. Are others seeing
the same problems?
Thanks
Chris Wood

Yes - QO91008 was causing OC4s out of ADSOBCOM here and then later some
problems with ADSC.

I have an issue open that should be en route to level 2. I sent a
SYSMDUMP yesterday and identified QO91008 as the problem today. Guess I
should have read the digest first and would have guessed the bad boy on
the first try instead of the third try.
