Kay,
TEC433613 also points to QI82742 which will tell you what to do if you
are running in ECSA and if you must use the new default setting of
AllowUserKeyCSA(NO). To determine which key you are using look at the
1st screen of the DCPROFIL transaction. This shows a field called
PRIMARY STORAGE PROTECT KEY: (it is on the right side, 1/2 way down).
This is the user key that is mentioned in TEC433613. IBM considers any
key of 8 - 15 to be a 'user key'.

"I think you are right. It looks like I will have to use the macro
recommended by Chris H. I was hoping that the link would give me some
kind of ""not authorized"" return code instead of abending, but I guess
not.
