ONE LARGE DMCL BUFFER

Hello All:

What are your thought on one very large buffer in a DMCL for CV mode and
LOCAL mode, for example 15,000 pages at 32K per page?

If you can please comment on the memory requirements, CPU Cycles, etc.

"Just to add my own 2 cents, DMCL buffering was a major factor in tuning
to reduce physical I/Os (the slowest part of the data path). In these
days of disk controller cache and system cache, I don't consider it is
as critical as it once was.
