Re:Re: JES2 Messages in IDMS after Upgrade to z/OS 1.8

Discussion created by ca.portal.admin on Mar 3, 2008
Those message moved from JES to that of the address space performing the
submission.

Some can be eliminated by

15

++USERMOD (TC82267)
DESC ($HASP125 WHEN JCL Written to INTRDR for z/OS 1.7).

16

++APAR (QO91157)
DESC ($HASP125 When JCL written to Internal Reader)

I rather like the messages, makes it easier to find out what was
submitted.

JES2 Messages in IDMS after Upgrade to z/OS 1.8

Hi,

We moved up to z/OS 1.8 yesterday and we now get a number of $HASP125
and $HASP100 messages whenever a job gets submitted by the internal
reader from the CV. A lot of you are on 1.8 now so were you seeing these
messages too and how have you handled them?

Examples: -

$HASP125 ****** INTRDR SKIPPING FOR JOB CARD FROM JOB09829 ******

$HASP100 yyyyyyyy ON INTRDR JCL-REQUEST FROM JOB09829
******

Thanks

"I was a little hasty.

We have been able to make ADS write to internal reader and produce the
message. If we make the internal reader Lterm have NOBANNER we can
remove the $HASP125 message.
