Data Spaces and large areas

Hello All:

Anybody out there have any experiences using Data Spaces and large IDMS
areas?

First let me say that we have plenty of real memory so that is not an
issue.

What we are considering is an area that has 150,000 pages at a page size
of
10,796.

What is happening is that there is an extremely large amount of random
I/O
in this area and that this I/O is taking 33+% of the elapsed run time on
the
weekly CAS 1.0 MRP executions.

Thanking everyone in advance for your thought and comments.

Migrating SQL load modules to production
"Greetings,

Our shop currently punch and links all load modules out of the load area
into linklibs. The load modules in the linklibs are then moved through
the environments from test to QA to Production. Is this methodology
possible with access modules and RCMs created in a test environment for
SQL access?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
