Re:SYSLOCKS overflow

Discussion created by ca.portal.admin on Apr 22, 2008
One of our production CV's gets periodic SYSLOCK overflows. I have increased the number of SYSLOCKS defined several times, so that it now has twice as many as our most heavily-used CV (which does not have this problem). But it is still not enough. I can't see anything on the log to explain it. Can anyone give me advice as to how find out what is using so many SYSLOCKS, or how to determine when the overflow occured?

"The overflow events seem to occur mainly at night on this CV. (I see that the overflow count has gone up when I check in the morning.) So they are hard to catch at the time they occur. Since there are few online users at night, should I even be concerned?
