Re:Re: Z/OS 1.7 Upgrade on Saturday, PL/I abend 4032 Today

Discussion created by ca.portal.admin on Sep 23, 2008
Sometimes a simple increase in region size will resolve U4032 abends.

From old note I had...

ISA size which is specified with ISAS parameter is
smaller than default value (400k), OS PL/I will be abend with
U4032. This is because the ISA size parameter to PLICALLB still
uses the default value even though ISAS parameter is specified,
and PL/I tries to use over the ISA size which is specified with
ISAS parameter.

Z/OS 1.7 Upgrade on Saturday, PL/I abend 4032 Today

Hello All:

Anybody ever has seen this before?

This is a batch PL/I Program running under CV with SYSCTL. The IDMS System
is 16.0 SP6 has been that way for Months so IDMS is not suspected in this
issue.

This batch PL/I program executed successfully on Friday, on Saturday the
OS
was upgraded to Z/OS 1.7 and tonight this batch program is aborting with a
U4032 as soon as it starts. Last thing we see in the log is the SYSIDMS
parameters, and then it aborts.
