"Yes, it had to do with IBM's OS changes on using storage keys, I believe
it was storage key 8 or 9 being used by IBM's OS in the early/late 90's,
I will check my doc's on it tomorrow because it was a big deal for my
shop at the time for storage protection, a lot of storage violations
back in that time and it was to costly to run storage in production,
killed response time and lots of cpu. We generally only ran storage
protect in test and QA but back then is still was a response and cpu
costly. CA has really made advances on storage protect since then.
