EXTEND SPACE
"Hello All:

Has anyone performed EXTEND SPACE more than once on an area?

Also has anyone ever XPAGED an area that has been extended?

I have a very large area that has already been extended once and there are
plenty of page numbers available and contiguous to the existing area.

I am aware of the CALC record issue.

I did not create this I inherited it.

allowusercsakey(NO) on Z/OS 1.9
"Hello All:

Here is some information regarding a Z/OS 1.9 Customer of mine that has
allowusercsakey(NO) running IDMS Release 16.0 Service Pack six.

Here is the execute statement and STEPLIB, notice the parm on the execute
step=y, also notice that we only have one library in the STEPLIB.

//IDMSUCF1 EXEC PGM=IDMSDC01,
// TIME=1400,REGION=0M,
// PARM='STEP=Y '
//STEPLIB DD DSN=IDMS160.STARTUP.LOADLIB,DISP=SHR

Here are the contents of the startup load library, the IDMSDC## modules are
all of our startup modules:

BROWSE IDMS160.STARTUP.LOADLIB Row 00001 of 00005

PRIMARY STORAGE PROTECT KEY FROM DCPROFIL: 04 This is set by a SYS1.PARMLIB
member named (SCHED...) whatever your systems programmer may have called it,
it should look like this: PPT PGMNAME(IDMSDC01),KEY(4),NOSWAP.

SYSGEN STORAGE KEY IS 9

This is all documented pretty well in QI82743 and its quite simple to
implement.
