Kay (and all) - one thing to remember - for zIIP sipport - the loadlib containing the specified modules must eb ""authorized"" - but neither the steplib nor cdmslib concatenation need be authorized

as well.

there appears to be a difference between:

1) loading from an authorized DSName (1 specific dataset)
and
2) loading from an authorized DDName (1+ non-specific datasets)

zIIP requires the former
i am guessing that IDMS running authorized requires the latter

"also - as mentioned earlier

the loadlib containing RHDCUXIT need not be ""authorized"" - early
requirements / documentation and presentations specified that it did!

in-house changes to vendor-supplied msgs/mods
"going to any new release of IDMS included the updating of existing
vendor-supplied idd records, modules and messages

but what if your site has made in-house modifications to those objects
since the last install?
(examples include: change messages to remove displaying on the console or
log or even changing the severity)
(our site even changes how the precompiled expands IDMS-DC DML calls <?>

in a perfect world, all these changes would documented .... we don't live
in a perfect world

there are two approaches - try to determine what objects that are about to
be overlayed have changed since the last upgrade or after the upgrade,
compare before and after images to look for changes

if anyone wants additional assistance with this, please email me directly
and I will share my process
