Not sure what you need to know here. We are using JDBC from Java applicatio=
ns to access IDMS with IDMS Server and the SQL option. Works a treat. Very =
fast. Very efficient.

At the moment this bridge is used primarily to download security informatio=
n to the midrange environment (our security rules are in an IDMS database),=
and to do authentication against RACF using userid/password via a SQL Func=
tion! We can also effect password changes if the user's password has expire=
d - a different function of course!=20

We have a few other queries that we use regularly but at the moment our sec=
urity checking is the most heavily used query.
