You can always include a sort with sort fields=copy and an omit to drop
the the lines you don't need

Subject: IDMSBCF - Suppress Command Echo?

Hello Y'all,

I want to use some SQL in a BCF to create some syntax for further =
processing so I don't anything except the results of my query. I can
=
suppress the new page headers with the SET OPTIONS HEADINGS OFF
command, =
but I still get the echoed command, initial column headers, and totals
=
at the end. Can these lines be suppressed so that the output from the
=
query can be fed directly into another command facility? =20

Get storage
"I am trying to do a ""get storage"" using LENGTH and POINTER, but the IDMS pr=
e-compiler is giving me syntax errors. The manual says ""COBOL 85 only"" for=
these parameters. I (perhaps foolishly) assumed that this meant ""COBOL 85=
and above"". Was I wrong?

Re: Get storage
"It should work. Do you have an example of what you are coding and the errors you are getting? If the GET STORAGE is inside of an IF or something that could be a problem, you may need a semicolon as a delimiter - have you tried that?
