Thanks to Tommy's and Peter's suggestion, I am now getting a clean
    compile.
But I don't seem to be getting a valid pointer back at run time. Can
    anyone
provide a way to convert the pointer to a displayable format? Or better
yet, some sample code that uses the pointer parameter for ""get scratch""?

I wish the storage interface had separate ""get"" and ""put"" commands, like
    the
scratch and queue interfaces do. I am having some difficulty
    determining
which parameters apply to which situation.

    Alias usage report?
"I need to determine if a dataset alias name was actually used in JCL.

Does anyone know of any data, which may answer this question?

I believe the only answer is to use Search-For Utility against a list of
    PDS's.

    Re: Alias usage report?
"Yes, I guess just use SRCHFOR utility; the problem with SRCHFOR is that if you have more than one JCL library and concatenate the libraries, it will report on the first find and ignore the rest in concatenation. So you would need multiple steps to be safe. But if all your jobs are CA-7, the command LDSN,DSN=xxxx,LIST=ALL will find job using that DSN, but obviously they have to be under CA-7 control.
