[IDMSVENDOR-L] Cobol Routine to Convert Large Dbkeys

Discussion created by ca.portal.admin on Aug 19, 2009
Does anyone have a COBOL routine to convert large DBKEYs to page:line number format? We're running IDMS Rel 16.1, z/OS 1.9, COBOL for z/OS 3.4.1.

Thanks

Clist Processing After Signon
"Long ago, I remember creating clist to set the dictionary and dbnames
for users in IDMS. I haven't done this in quite a while but need to now.
I have created the clist and attached it to the user, but the clist does
not appear to be executed at signon.

Can someone provide the details of how to get this working?

Also, where in the manuals it documents this because I can't find it
there either.

Thanks,

Re: Clist Processing After Signon
"You have to create a user profile in ocf:

DIS USER PROFILE SETUAT
*+ Status = 0        SQLSTATE = 00000
*+   CREATE USER PROFILE SETUAT
*+       ATTRIBUTE
*+           CLIST = 'SETUAT' OVERRIDE NO
*+       DATE CREATED 2009-08-03-08.36.40.856954 BY ECCAXK
*+       DATE LAST UPDATED 2009-08-03-08.36.40.856954 BY ECCAXK
*+       ;

Then attach that user profile to the user ID:
Alter USER ""userid""
PROFILE SETUAT ;

If you use a SYSTEM profile, I think its executed automatically,
without being attached explicitly to a user id . . .
