Well, listees, what a long strange trip it's been . . . After fifteen years as a SysProg in a VSE hybrid environment (with a few side projects managing a Data General minicomputer and HP scientific workstations running CAD/CAM applications), I worked for five years in native VSE/ESA when we converted our legacy APICS in-house system to CAS, then we outsourced to a service bureau running OS (and later zOS) so I got into the application end of things, and now . . .
Our conversion to Oracle/E-Business Suite running on Linux is complete.
Thanks to everyone in this wonderfully generous user community for all the help over the years. You're all certainly a tough act to follow and I wish you all the best.

UCFCICZ question
"Hello All:
We have one CICSPROD region that talks to two IDMS regions IDMS1 and IDMS2.
We did this by having unique IDMSINTC, IDMSCINT and UCFCICS modules.
CICS release is TS 3.2 and IDMS release is 15.0 SP5.
Here is my issue how do you handle DFHZNEP when you have two separate
UCFCICZ load modules and two separate IDMS Regions?
Here is the code but I am not sure that it is really working for IDMS1?

We have a CICS region which can call 2 CVs. The DFHZNEP we use calls
both UCFCICZ for both CVs as yours does. What you have should work.=20

IDMS DC Programs and LE COBOL
"Hello All,
I am currently running REL. 15 SP5. I have install LE COBOL libraries =
to our start up decks for our three production CVs. I have added the RHDCLE=
FE program to each one of the SYSGENs and have removed optional APAR 49 fro=
m the system. Everything appears to be running fine but I have 12 IDMS DC C=
OBOL programs so far that are going into a loop. The applications folks are=
telling me that it appears to be in the transfer process when the program =
is executing. Has anyone experience a similar problem and determine a solut=
ion? Thanks in advance for your help.

Re: IDMS DC Programs and LE COBOL
"John, have you attempted to recompile the COBOL programs with a
LE-COBOL compiler ?
We had some problems going from VS COBOL to LE which were resolved by
recompile under LE-COBOL.
