Re:XA REENTRANT PROGRAM POOL SIZE

Discussion created by ca.portal.admin on Oct 13, 2009
Hello All:

Does anyone out there have an XA REENTRANT PROGRAM POOL defined larger than 32760? If so how large have you made it and has it caused any repercussions on the Operating System?

In a word - NO. The IDMS-DC facilities that are available to DC-BATCH
protocol programs are WRITE PRINTER and GET/PUT/DELETE QUEUE. Both
Printer and Queue commands require DDDLDCQUE in Update - since they are
already in update for the DB/DC region you will not be able to access
them. Also the routines used within IDMS-DC are only available to batch
through the IDMSDCBI Batch interface - which requires you to use CV mode
at run-time.

HTH - cheers - Gary
