APPROVED

For those of you who install the IDMS system software at your shop ....

CA let me know today that they have approved a DAR a submitted to
replace
""zap-able"" USERMODS (GS27525, for example) with SYSIDMS equivalents.
This
should prove helpful where these USERMODS touched modules frequently
updated by subsequently published load module replacement PTFs (and
currently must re RESTOREd before the current fix can be applied) .
Anyone
who has installed fixes to Release 17 SP1 probably has a good idea of
the
situation being faced. This change is planned for a future release.

now wouldn't it be nice if CA would retrofit this change into existing
supported releases - i know I would benefit from it ... but for now ...
oh
well .......

"Chris,

Would this apply to linked exits - like WTOEXIT and the CALC Exit? It
sure would be great if it did - make my life a whole lot easier.
