Re:ADS question

Discussion created by ca.portal.admin on Mar 1, 2010
(From a non-ADS programmer.) Is it possible to do ""GET STORAGE"" and ""PUT
STORAGE"" commands in ADS code? I don't see them in the ADS reference guide.

Re: Separate DMCL for Log and Journal Jobs
"please allow me to respond

1) i would have concerns with separate journallog-offload-only DMCL only
because of the possibility of a critical component getting modified in one
but not the other

2) to Kay - why separate localmode DMCL? idms has provided separate local
mode buffers since release 12.0
also - there are SYSIDMS parameters to give you program-level additional
flexibility for additional buffers

but i know what the answer is .... ""that's the way we have always done
things, and no one wants to change it""

Re: [IDMSVENDOR-L] ADS question
"Key - maybe this is the answer

have the DC cobol link to or call one of X (2, or 10) subordinate ADS
programs: all with the same logic (a shared include) - but with different
work records - allowing different array sizes .....
