    please allow me to respond

    1) i would have concerns with separate journallog-offload-only DMCL only because of the possibility of a critical component getting modified in one but not the other

    2) to Kay - why separate localmode DMCL? idms has provided separate local mode buffers since release 12.0 also - there are SYSIDMS parameters to give you program-level additional flexibility for additional buffers

but i know what the answer is .... ""that's the way we have always done things, and no one wants to change it""
