if the latter, then certainly the log can be interrogated and all=20
necessary information can be retrieved=20 if the former - good luck - even
if you sat all day executing lockmon=20 you MIGHT see stalls building, but
many deadlocks could come and go=20 between two hits of the ENTER key=20 =20

Do you have the source code for the offending CAS dialog? Are you in the
premap or response process? What return code are you getting exactly in the

A side note, has the client modified the CAS dialog? CAS did not keep
long-term exclusive locks on records across a pseudo converse....that would
have caused much chaos amongst our client base. Now, if the client has
changed the dialog to do that, that's another story.

Also curious, is this happening in production? Or test?
