Re:Secured SVC Using Local Mode Fast Access

Discussion created by ca.portal.admin on Apr 6, 2010
I've started the upgrade to Release 17, and in doing so, have decided to
embrace CA's recommendation, following the steps to install a secured
SVC. Everything seemed fine, and my testing was all successful.

However, later in the day, programmers started getting SExx abends. I
was able to narrow this down to only local mode jobs that also used Fast
Access. Has anyone else encountered this?

Return code 20
"I am running IDMS R16 under zVSE 4.2.1. I recently had a CV-mode batch
job end with return code 20. Reviewing the CV log, there is no
indication of an abend. The programmer tells me the program is not
setting a return code. No other VSE diagnostic messages appear either
in the SYSLST or on the console.

=20

Any thoughts as to the meaning of the return code 20 and what might be
issuing it?=20
