Is it possible to modify a key of an SQL table?
If so will it propagate down to other tables?

If you mean modifying the format of the key, the answers are both ""no"". You must drop the table and its data (and any associated indexes, constraints, and views), recreate the table and its associated definitions, then reload the data. You will also need to recreate any security definitions that refer to the table and views - they are secretly deleted when the table is dropped.
