John -

Unfortunately, it looks like all of these sessions are scheduled at the same
time as all the IDMS sessions except for Part 2 of the lab on Thursday at
11:30.

Thanks.

For those of you not using CA's Mainframe Software Manager Release for
applying maintenance and doing installs, have a close look at it as it can
save you a lot of time. CA MSM Release 3 is now GA and there are
workshops
at CA World for the installation and use.

"Re: question about ""get storage"""
"Thanks for taking the plunge, Tom. (From lurking.)

I think that your explanation is absolutely right. Further testing has me =
now believing that the ""get storage"" command itself does no harm, as you ha=
ve suggested. The problems seem to occur after reading past the size of th=
e storage as defined in the linkage section. The entire piece of storage i=
s accessible to PROGRAMA, even if it is larger than defined. =20

I am not sure why reading out of bounds is causing subsequent abends (I wou=
ld expect modifying the out-of-bounds storage to have bad effects), but I g=
uess the point is that we need to make sure that we don't it.
