Hello, I am an application developer not a DBA. The DBA is on vacation
for
the next 2 weeks and I need some help.
She gave me some jcl to restore our test db. So I ran it, however it did
not
have a step to vary the areas offline first and I did not vary them
offline.
I ran a job to unlock the areas but it says the areas are not locked.
So I
went to the enter next task code prompt and tried to vary the segment
(contains the areas) offline. I get this error for each area: 3018
Error
Closing AREA IDZSGDAT.IAFAR007-REGION. I am not sure what to do next
and
any help would be greatly appreciated since the DBA won't be back until
May
24th.
