IDMS Journals

Hi all,

A while back we encountered no journal available issue because of a user
application and IDMS generated the following message:

IDMS DC205011 V4 T45376 NO Journals are AVAILABLE. IDMS Waiting

We have automation in place to trap the following message' +IDMS
DC205003 V1 T1958 Disk Journal is FULL' and submit the appropriate off
load job.

Does anyone know of other automation processes that can be used to avoid
this 'no journals available' issue?

"Tom,

I don't know all of the details except a user written application was
the cause. This job must have been doing numerous update with no commit
logic like you mentioned.
