I am creating a new audit and need to know the syntax for comparing variables.

I already do something like this:
<core:if test="${DebugLevel > 0}">

<gel:log level="debug" message="Process running..." />
</core:if>
where I am comparing a variable to a value.

I am rather new to GEL and now I need to compare a variable to a variable and cannot get the syntax to work.

I need to know if the email address for TO: and CC: are the same, to avoid duplicating:
<core:if test="${ApproverMgrEmail} == ${ResourceMgrEmail}">

<gel:log level="debug" message="ApproverMgrEmail = ResourceMgrEmail" />
    <!-- BLAH BLAH here -->
</core:if>
This does not trigger even when I hard-code email addresses to be equal. What is the correct syntax to compare variables? It is probably a simple answer. Tried different ways and no joy.

Thanks,

Alex
