WebServerMonitor logging ConnectException stack traces?

We're using Wily's Web Server Monitor to monitor Apache Web Servers. The Web Server Monitor reports an "availability" metric. When we shutdown our web servers, i.e. stop the httpd process, we see that the "availability" metric goes to "0" as expected. However, what's unexpected is that the Web Server Monitor log fills up with stack traces of "ConnectException" indicating that it can't connect to the web server.

Is there any way to disable this stack trace logging as it simply bloats the log file with useless information?

Additionally, the stack trace is logged at the "ERROR" level, so there is no log level filtering that can be done.

Thanks,
O
