Wily Introscope Javascript / calculator - how to calculate delta?

Hi All,

I would like to create a metric based on the difference between another metric's most current value, and it's previous value.

This would be used for converting a total / incrementing metric to an interval based metric.

The standard calculator doesn't seem to be able to do this so I started to take a look at the javascript calculator.
The only problem I can see is that I will need to somehow be able to retrieve the current value from the metric and the previous interval to then perform the calculation. If that can't be done, then the next option I can see is to have to persist the current value of the metric upon each invocation so it can be used as a "previous" value on the next invocation.

Has anyone created a delta metric before (and if so, am I going about it the right way)?

Cheers,
Adam
