Our IT department just underwent a massive reorg. I'm just looking for tips. How do the rest of you handle reorgs. How do you go about redefining your Department OBS structure in Clarity? Rename the old departments to match the new department names? What if some are combined into new departments and some go away? What if some become completely obsolete? Do you try to keep your department OBS tree at a higher level as to avoid this problem? Generally our top level departments are functional areas like Engineering, Applications, Infrastructure, with a web of sub-departments. While the sub-departments generally undergo frequent change, the functional areas do not.
