Q: Of the 8GB (Disk Space required for Report Server) how much is required for the software and how much is for the Report database? Is there a way of estimating how large an Oracle database is required for the Report database?
A: Every database product is different and has specific requirements depending on the user’s opeartional needs and the projected growth of reports.
Most of the 8 GB is required by the software itself. But, here's some general guideline for sizing, with the size of 1 BOE XI/report object around 1024 bytes, and each row stores 1 report object. And, note that Suppot typically doesn’t get into sizing recommendations, so you’ll still need to confirm with CA Servicers and/or Oracle when involved in critical deployments.
