Message Report

Discussion created by Gary_Cherlet on Jan 26, 2012
I saw Chris's little ditty the other day and as is happens I'm trying to get a better look at which messages I had modified preparing for R17 rollout. I know I had to change some severity levels when we went to LE to quell some snaps. I don't find the absence of time an issue right now because I never changed the messages the same day as an install run.
What I did find is a curious number of system messages that were installed before I got here (in the 90s for the most part) that not been touched since so I think they are long obsolete. I stored my report in Sysdirl using this IDD syntax:

And then just run with standard DDR JCL. May change to file output, but can save to listing file and massage if needed.

Have fun, John
