Timesheet hours for the resource -

Timeperiod: 1/2/12 - 1/8/12
1/3 8
1/4 8
1/5 8
------------
24 hours
------------

Timeperiod: 1/9/12 - 1/15/12
1/10 8
1/11 8
1/12 8
------------
24 hours
------------

Timeperiod: 1/16/12 - 1/22/12
1/16 8
1/17 4
1/18 4
1/19 4
1/20 4
------------
24 hours
------------

Timeperiod: 1/23/12 - 1/29/12
1/23 4
1/24 4
1/25 4
1/26 4
1/27 8
------------
24 hours
------------

Timeperiod: 1/30/12 - 2/5/12
1/30 8
1/31 8
2/1 8
2/2 8
2/3 8
------------
40 hours
------------

So, total hours for the month of Jan = 24+24+24+24+16 = 112

8 transactions were imported in the following order -

1/8 -ve transaction zero cost rate defined quantity as -24
1/8 +ve transaction    cost defined               rate defined        quantity as 24

1/15 +ve transaction    cost defined             rate defined        quantity as 24
1/15 -ve transaction zero cost rate defined quantity as -24

1/22 +ve transaction    cost defined             rate defined        quantity as 24
1/22 -ve transaction zero cost rate defined quantity as -24

1/29 +ve transaction    cost defined             rate defined        quantity as 24
1/29 -ve transaction zero cost rate defined quantity as -24

I check the Team > Detail and for the month of Jan, the hours show up as 160. (Note - The resource did not fill timesheet for any other task for this project in Jan)

If my calculation is correct, then, the first transaction on 1/8, wouldn't affect anything as there is nothing to deduct from. So, the Import Financial Actuals job run after the second transaction on 1/8 posted the financial hours of 24. Now, that makes the total as 112 + 24 = 136.

Since the other set of transactions were like first +ve and then -ve, the financial hours should have been negated.

Is there a reason as to why it wouldn't have worked ?

Also, what would cause the transactions originating from timesheet to not show up on Create WIP Adjustments page ?
