PAM check if SD is in edit mode.

I notice that when i try to update the service desk ticket and if the service desk ticket itself is in edit mode. Current been edited, the process would fail.

Is there a way to check and see if the SD ticket is in edit before trying to edit/update it thru PAM?

I can do a loop and wait, but just don;t know what variable i can check for in PAM against the SD to see if it's in edit mode.
