  • 1.  APM and Splunk Integration

    Hi,

    We are trying to integratre CA APM with Splunk for log monitoring. If any body has done this before, please guide how to setup this integration. Any document regarding this will be helpful.

    One of the easiest ways to do this is to use the HTTP listener in EPAgent. Look at the guide for details.

    I guess I should have also asked are you trying to send or receive data from Splunk?

    I am trying to setup log monitoring on Enterprise Manager log file to setup indexing and alert on exceptions in the log file using Splunk log management.

    Why not just write your own log reader to send the data to Splunk?

     

    Our OOTB logreaders are meant to send TO APM, but not out to a third party.

     

    Every programming language today has some sort of method to read logs.

    The EM logs are in standard log4j format so it's easily read.
