Default Dates in Timesheet R.H.S filter field

Has anyone experienced about the default vale in Timesheet filter page for normal user view and the use with studio rights. Today I got a query from my timesheet user as they have a desire to see the current time period as default selection in timesheet "Date" filter page and I found for my self it was that only . While when I try with other clarity users they are viewing "All open Time Periods" as default value in Date field.

So it is working in that way the default vale in Date field of Timesheet Filter page is showing ...

1-"Current Time Period" as defualt value for all the users with Studio rights (Administrator)
2- "All open Time Periods" for other users

Please let me know if this is known issue or is this bug in product. I am in CA Clarity 12.0.4 version.
