I am having quite a bit of difficulty with Alert Downtime Schedules. Namely where to define, how to keep them up to date and how to validate them after making changes to included management modules.

Does anyone have any guidelines, processes, lesson learned or best practices in terms of Alert Downtime Schedules?

1. Which is better:
a. Have a single ADS that covers all management modules for a full system restart
b. Have a ADS per management module for the same event

2. Which is better
a. Have a single ADS that covers two related MM such as a linux and a websphere agent
b. Have a ADS per management module for the same event

3. How to verify changes that are made to a management module.
Ran into several problems where if the MM name changed, the ADS was not updated with the new name and became invalid there by no allowing the MM to save. Problem with this, the only nofiication was in the MOM log that the save failied.
