General
Unified Browser Based UI
CA Process Automation now has a single, completely redesigned user interface. There is no more dependency on the Java runtime engine to use the new interface. Also includes support for the latest browser versions.
New Process Designer
Designing processes has been streamlined and improved with a workspace that is easier to navigate and enables access to important information in a single view. With the ability to pan/zoom the workspace, drag & drop variables to exchange data between operators, and improved operator searching, users can be more productive and provide value faster when building complex automation processes.
Operations Dashboard
A new Operations Dashboard allows users to surface key metrics of processes and operators. This dashboard comes with drill-down capability so that users can inspect status, diagnose or correct any issues discovered.
Home Page
The home page provides novice users with easy access to CA Process Automation's key features. It also provides users with direct access to online and out-of-the box content, as well as recently modified processes, pending tasks and system activity.
Dynamic Interaction Forms
A new forms designer allows for the creation of flexible, dynamic forms to initiate or interact with processes.
Embeddable UI Elements
Several of the new user interface elements support direct URL access which enables embedding parts of CA Process Automation UI into other browser-based applications and portals.
Out-of-the-Box Content
CA Process Automation ships with pre-loaded content such as tutorials that demonstrates CA Process Automation's key concepts and features.
Integration Enhancements
Invoke Java Operator
A new operator enables users to invoke Java classes, so that Java APIs from target systems can be integrated directly into CA Process Automation.
RESTful API
In addition to the existing SOAP Web services API, CA Process Automation now comes with a RESTful Web services API, further extending the ability to manage CA Process Automation from external applications using industry-standard interfaces.
Localization
Localized in 9 Languages
CA Process Automation 4.0 UI is localized in English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Turkish, Japanese, and simplified Chinese.
