TEC573881 Unable to use the XOG client on 64Bit Windows

    Has any body tried that.
I installed v12.1.3.1361 on Win 7 64 bit and Win 2008 64 bit using the default paths except for the drive letter.
    Both worked just fine.
So did v13.0 XOG client on Win 2008.

Did not have to use any work around.

    Hi martink,

I'm not sure If your problem has been solved but here is what I can update you with 64 bit OS from Microsoft...

We get some weird errors like

\ATI was unexpected at this time or \Microsoft was unexpected at this time etc

The problem mainly is with the path environment varaible..

Edit your path and find for the string "Program Files (x86)" and replace it with "progra~2"

After saving it, everything will be fine..

    Hope this helps -_-

    Cheers,
    Ritesh

    Hello Marti,

I also had faced the same problem as mentioned by riteshkumar in the previous post. It is due to the Program Files (x86) folder in the PATH environment variable we use to get the error. If you replace Program Files (x86) with Progra~2 it should be working fine.

    Regards,
    Ray.

So the TECH DOC is likely to be correct and my usage outside of it.
Typically I navigate manually to the bin folder and launch run.bat from there so maybe in my usage the path is used.

Secondly I normally install XOG client somewhere else than Program files(except now when testing) and the same thing for jdk so that there are no spaces and the path is short.
