We have been told by CA to set the nls_date_format for Clarity 12.1.1 at all three levels; instance, database, and session to YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS. We understand how to set the instance and database level but we have questions about the session level.

1. Is there a hazard with clarity if we use the DD-MON-RR format for some clients and not all?

2. Is this only a hazard for Inserts?

3. Do we have to be concerned with the Clarity application session values? If so, how do we know (and change) what the value of the session for the Clarity clients (I'm assuming it is an application server which connects to the database).
