Clarity

Hi,

We are unable to see the "Allow assigned tasks only" in Timesheet options of clarity v13.1.

Well, the help document says it should be but it is not present. So, is this some kinda bug or I'm I missing something?

Did not get to v13.1. to check is, but I have it in v12.1. SP1 and v13.0 SP1, but don't have it in v12.1 SP3.

The way I reason it, it has be replaced with the the use of the following rights

Global
Project - Edit Project Plan - All
Allows user to add unplanned tasks to any Project when completing his or her timesheet if he or she is a team member on that Project.

Instance and OBS

Project - Edit Project Plan
Allows user to add unplanned tasks to a specific Project when completing his or her timesheet if he or she is a team member on that Project.

Yes, your reason is quite convincing..

However, the document dint say so.. Might be CA has not updated the help documentation

Hi All,

It seems CA has changed the logic to implement this functionality.

The option "Allow assigned tasks only" is removed from V13.1.
Instead a new attribute named 'Prevent unassigned timesheet task' has been introduced for 'Project Object' which is false by default.

The CA support folks have raised a documentation defect internally.

Confirmed this change is also present in v 12.1 SP2. 12.1.3(5)

Caused some headaches tracking it down.
