I am working on linking v 12.2 to Business Objects server for the first time.   I have installed the reports and provided my BO server info in the Reporting tab in teh NSA.   However, when I run a custom or out of teh box report I get the message, see my attachment.   Has anyone linked to the BO Server and if you have any suggestions for this error, please respond.

Hi Joan,  I will check with someone on this and will let you know if I get response.   Otherwise you may want to log an issue with Support unless another user has input.  Regards,Chris

Hi, Note:- Iam not working in v12 but some thoughts. Check whether the Report runs in BO itself. Pls check the app.niku Log via NSA. what about the Health report in NSA,did it shows any red thing. Stop the Reports. Re-deploy the Reports. start the reports. Then nikuadmin reports install -verbose via command line and check any specific error. And then try to run the report again. Thanks guys for the response.  I did enter a case and we are working on it right now.  I will log the solution when I find it.  Yes, the report does run directly out of Infoview.

Hi,         You got the error messge while running system reports or custom reports? if you are facing same issues for all reports, the clarity didn't talk crystal server properly. First check Report properties from NSA  1) To Check NSA Report Properties:  Vendor : Bussiness ObjectsHome Directory : Business Object Installation Directory (D:\Program Files\Business Objects)Service URL : http:// :8080/dswsbobje/services/sessionCMS : :6400Web URL : http: http:// :8080user : administrator (default user for Crystal Administrator user) - First configure crystal administrator user. if report working, you can change the user which you have created in Crytal server.password :    2) To Check Central Configuration Manager whether all services running properly.  3) To  Check  WebI Admin console, whether URL is runinng properly (  http://nandhini:8080/businessobjects/enterprise115/adminlaunch/launchpad.html  )  4) To  Check  Inforview console, whether URL is running properly (   http://nandhini:8080/businessobjects/enterprise115/desktoplaunch/InfoView/logon/logon.do)  5) if everything is running properly, then redeploy the reports (nikuadmin install reports)      Senthil       Message Edited by senthil on 08-15-2009 11:53 AM

We are having the same problem as this. Did you ever find a solution to this?

I recently resolved this problem. I was able to run reports successfully in Business Objects CRXI R3 InfoView, but I was unable to run them successfully in Clarity. For me, the key was to make sure that three values in three different configuration areas of Clarity and BO matched.

First, verify that your Business Objects TNSLISTENER.ORA file contains a definition of a service name. The service name I used was niku.

Open the Clarity NSA. Navigate to Home > Servers > Properties > Database. Make sure that the value labeled Service Name matches the service name that you defined in your Business Objects TNSLISTENER.ORA file. If you change the Service Name value, choose the Save button after you make your change, to be sure that the properties.xml file is updated.

Open the Business Objects Designer. Cancel out of the wizard, and choose Tools > Connections.... Select the CA_Clarity Universe, and choose Test. You should receive a pop-up stating that the connection was successful. Now, again choose the CA_Clarity Universe, and choose Edit.... Be sure that the value labeled Service: matches the service name that you defined in the TNSLISTENER.ORA file.

Now, for every report, you need to verify that the Server value associated with that report matches the service name that you defined in your Business Objects TNSLISTENER.ORA file. For example, follow the steps below to verify that the Budget Forecast Analysis out-of-the-box Clarity report is properly configured.
Login to the Business Objects Central Management Console. Choose the Folders icon, then navigate in the left-hand pane to All Folders > CA Reports > CA Clarity. In the right-hand pane, right-click on the report, Budget Forecast Analysis. Choose Database Configuration. Be sure that the value labeled Server matches the service name that you defined in the TNSLISTENER.ORA file.

If you are working in a non-production environment, it is useful to restart the Clarity services after making configuration changes.

Hi mphelan,

Our BO is in windows server. We connect to an oracle database server which is in a Linux environment.

We are facing the same RPT 0007 error when we run the reports from clarity application.

From Infoview, we get "Error in File Resources By Role Description: Failed to load database information". History after running the report from CMC shows "Failed".

I tried out all the fixes you mentioned here. Still the result is the same. And one more doubt: is there some option to set a general DB login for all the reports in CMC?

Waiting for your reply,
Georgy N Joseph

Anyone have success with this issue.

I can't run reports from info view or Clarity. All my reports give the error: Specified Report did not Execute Properly.

I have verified server names, ID's and passwords and re-saved them every place that everyone has mentioned. I have tried the BO Designer to establish a connection, no success.

I can connect to the DB from our report server using SQLPlus.

Some history - this is a new Clarity 12.1 and BO r3 install on Linux. Everything was working at one time then our DBA did a DB refresh ( oracle ). For some reason this wiped out the BO repository DB. Which was then empty. After numerous attempts by CA and myself to use the import wizard to load the BAIR files with reports and users. We had to use the cmsdbsetup.sh to repair the Bo repository. We were then able to import users and the default reports from Clarity BIAR files, using the import wizard.

Can't run the reports that are now in BO and/or Clarity.

Have you checked the bg logs?

and the trusted authentication shared key has been used.
I'm assuming you installed the BIAR files? and put the same trusted key in the BO CMC?

Matt

We have found this error is because the resoruce id has not been replicated in to BMC. First we run the LDAP - Synchronize New and Changed Users job, then add them to BMC.
