We are working on ways to allow parallel development of an element that would prevent one developer from impacting another. We have solved the problem from an output library perspective but still have issues when it comes to DB2 and IMS. Has anyone had to deal with this same issue? How did you overcome the problem?
Also have a look at the new Deploy to Test feature coming in Endevor v18. This makes it easy to cherry pick a developers objects to test, and to deploy them to one or more shared test environments (as well as facilities to REPORT or CLEANUP those tests) particularly when working with sandboxes. If you're not already involved in the validation…
When the user builds a package shipment request, we would like the option for Endevor to 'intelligently' present the user with only the destinations applicable for that package, cross referencing the package outputs to the destinations mapping rules. Currently our users are having to navigate through a list of over 200 destinations. Occasionally,…
The ALTER command can change the CCID for the generate, last element, and retrieve actions. It does not change the CCID for the current source. Should there be an option to change the current source CCID? Is there a way to change the current source CCID? Scenario: I did an unload and restore of many program elements, modified some of…(Show moreShow less)
I noticed the problem too late. I added the CCID to the generate action for all of the program elements that lost the current source CCID and I am waiting to see if the developers will accept this so I do not have to start again from the entry stage and re-implement the modifications to those program elements.

This is an awesome video! I can't believe the likes are so low, no comments and only 31 views as of now. Come on people we can do better! Awesome job to everyone at CA who worked on this video, and to the people at CA who worked on the technology described in the video!
When an element, say, an assembler program, is edited users can use the HILITE ASM command to color-code the display. When the element is browsed (QE Dialog default set to view) the element is viewed, but with with the Endevor metadata wrapped around it. ("Metadata," for lack of a better word, used here to describe the Endevor "element browse"…
I'm not going to rehash "incremental releases" and CA RS and so forth.... that has been dealt with and if anyone is interested, information can be provided. But it appears I have a new related "issue" that I'm curious as to whether others are getting frustrated on as well. I'm currently "stuck" on version 18.0.0. For a variety of reasons, I…(Show moreShow less)
