                 Services for z/OS Version 15.0

Today, we are pleased to announce that CA Datacom CICS Services for z/OS Version 15.0 is now available.

 

New features for CA Datacom CICS Services Version 15.0 include:

 

  • CICSPlex Support in DBEC/DBEX. CA Datacom CICS Services Version 15.0 will allow you to add the CICSPlex name to the DBCVTPR startup assembly to enhance the CICS services control transactions DBEC and DBEX. This enhancement adds the qualifiers PLEX and SCOPE to the DBEC/DBEX transactions allowing you to tailor these displays according your CICSPlex environment. 
  • JAVA Interface to CA Datacom MUF. CA Datacom CICS Services Version 15.0 provides the ability for a JAVA program executing in CICS to communicate with the CA Datacom Multi-User Facility (MUF). This interface includes a direct RAAT (record-at-a-time) interface to MUF as well as a JDBC connection through the CA Datacom Server component.  A limited-use CA Datacom Server license is available for all CA Datacom/DB customers with Version 14.0 and above. This limited use Server implementation will support the JDBC connection provided in CICS Services Version 15.0.
  • Additional Ease of Use. CA Datacom CICS Services Version 15.0 includes additional ease of use features such as SYSID masking for DBEC/DBEX, and support for SKPSYNC processing for legacy applications needing CA Datacom COMIT/ROLLBACK command support outside of CICS Synchpoint.
