Issue: 

 

We are observing intermittent SAP agent connectivity issues with the Policy server.

We have done our analysis, and there are no network issues between the agent and Policy Server.

We are getting below errors in the agent traces:

 

Error#com.netegrity.siteminder.sap.webas.jaas.AgentConnectionHandler#

##ca.com~SiteMinderLoginModule##sap.com/redirect#com.netegrity.siteminder.sap.webas.jaas.AgentConnectionHandler.isValidConnection() Check Policy Server IP Address or FQDN#

 

Error#com.netegrity.siteminder.sap.webas.jaas.SiteMinderLoginModule#

#sap.com/redirect#com.netegrity.siteminder.sap.webas.jaas.SiteMinderLoginModule.SSOlogin()

Agent not connected#

 

Environment:  

 

SiteMinder WebAS Agent (SAP ERP Agent) version: 12.0 (CR2, Label 318)

 

Cause: 

The SmWebAsSSO.conf from the agent was configured to use the loadbalancer IP address in the Policy server directive instead of the IP address of the Policy Server

 

Resolution:

Change the configuration on the SmWebAsSSO.conf file to use the Policy server IP address.

For example,

PolicyServer=xx.yy.zz.aa
AgentName=yourganetname
SharedSecret=
Resource=/yourresource/
Failover=no
FipsMode=COMPAT
