Tech Tip: Failed to upgrade to Spectrum 10.1.2 or 9.4.4

Issue:

When trying to upgrade to Spectrum 9.4.4 or 10.1.2, Click on Install Ca Spectrum xx.xx.xx.xx

Once the process for InstallAnywhere is complete, the Spectrum installation won't come up. It doesn't give you any error messages or logs.

Environment

Spectrum 9.4.x, 10.x

Cause

This is because there are some spaces found in the directory name and parent directory name where the installer is saved.

Resolution

1. Remove the space in the directory name where the installer is saved.

2. Remove the space in the parent directory name where the installer is saved.

3. Install Spectrum 10.1.2 or 9.4.4 again.

Additional Information

Most likely, this issue would happen on Windows 2012 and Windows 2012 R2 platform.
