from Kristen Palazzolo (CA) to Everyone:
So... who's got the first question today?
from Kristen Palazzolo (CA) to Everyone:
Welcome, Andre!
from Kristen Palazzolo (CA) to Everyone:
What can we do for you today?
from Kristen Palazzolo (CA) to Everyone:
Hi Joe!
from Andre Moreira to Everyone:
hi @kristen i'd like to known how is the adoption of cabi with ca uim
from Robert Vacante to Everyone:
It's being heavily used by those customers that we've provided dashboards for technologies they use. In 8.5, we've opened it up further so you can view data from any probe.
from Andre Moreira to Everyone:
hi @robert cool this information about "can view data from any probe"
from Andre Moreira to Everyone:
another question @robert the idea about cabi is to do bi (business intelligence) for any ca product?
from Robert Vacante to Everyone:
Appx 20 products are adopting it and we're working to converge them so all use a single install.
from Andre Moreira to Everyone:
and maybe use cabi to do bi for other players? for example servicenow for itsm, salesforce for crm, and others
from Robert Vacante to Everyone:
CABI can pull from multiple databases, so possible...
from Andre Moreira to Everyone:
i asked this question because currently (for example) i'm using another (two) tools to apply bi techniques
from Andre Moreira to Everyone:
uhm good to known, so for ca technologies, can be possible to use the cabi to do bi for others tools non-ca (sounds cool)
from Robert Vacante to Everyone:
You would need to determine what data is relevant, but it should be feasible if you have a schema for the non-CA data.
from Andre Moreira to Everyone:
yes, makes sense
from Andre Moreira to Everyone:
oh, another question, releated this case... there is some customer from ca that adopted the cabi to do bi with others players? (like in my example)
from Robert Vacante to Everyone:
I'm not aware of that use case yet, but let me check...It'll just take a couple of minutes.,
from Andre Moreira to Everyone:
ok
from Robert Vacante to Everyone:
Still checking...not getting a response yet.
from Andre Moreira to Everyone:
ok
from Robert Vacante to Everyone:
BTW, do you plan to participate in our upcoming 8.5.1 beta?
from Andre Moreira to Everyone:
@robert i was talking with another member of my team and he would like to kwnon, if the ca uim portal (in a future) will receive a design more responsive
from Robert Vacante to Everyone:
Portal = UMP?
from Andre Moreira to Everyone:
he asked this because for our end-users the ca uim portal sounds a few old related design and user experience
from Andre Moreira to Everyone:
yes :-) ca uim (ca ump)
from Robert Vacante to Everyone:
As part of the move away from Flash, we'll be reoworking all of these UIs and we're taking the opportunity to rearchitect them for better performance as well. (Good example is orig. admin console vs. new...BIG perf difference.)
from Andre Moreira to Everyone:
that sounds good
from Robert Vacante to Everyone:
It's a sizable project, so don't expect an all new UI in the next release or two...Work is underway, but it is a large effort!
from Andre Moreira to Everyone:
good. because flash technology can be worst for some end-users (that don't have this support)
from Andre Moreira to Everyone:
another comment from the member of my team, is related ca ump portlet
from Andre Moreira to Everyone:
if on next relases of ca uim is schedule a possibility of use custom portlets (by liferay community)
from Robert Vacante to Everyone:
Regarding the data from a non-CA source, we don't know of anyone doing this yet.
from Robert Vacante to Everyone:
Emailing a specfic engineer regarding portlets from liferay community...
from Andre Moreira to Everyone:
because our end-users are very demanding
from Andre Moreira to Everyone:
so if we can "custom" our ca ump in a easy way, just adding liferay portles already created by liferay community, will be very good for user experience
from Robert Vacante to Everyone:
OK. I'll lt yo know what I find...or will email if i don't have an answer during this session.
from Robert Vacante to Everyone:
(sorry for many typos!)
from Andre Moreira to Everyone:
please just send for my email
from Andre Moreira to Everyone:
don't worry the idea here is chat about ca uim :-)
from Andre Moreira to Everyone:
so, for now thanks for the chat
from Andre Moreira to Everyone:
i'll try to participate again in future office hours (webex)
from Andre Moreira to Everyone:
thanks you #robert and #kristen
from Robert Vacante to Everyone:
You're welcome!
from Kristen Palazzolo (CA) to Everyone:

from Andre Moreira to Everyone:

from Robert Vacante to Everyone:
We're still standing by for questions for the next 10 minutes!
