End of Support for Oracle Solaris

CA Technologies is continually working to improve our software and services to best meet the needs of our customers. Please consider this communication as written notification that we will be discontinuing support for Oracle Solaris beginning with the release planned in second half of CY18.

 

When a third-party product reaches the end of its primary or mainstream support, CA Technologies no longer provides support for that third-party product or any CA Spectrum components that interoperate with the third-party product. Third party products under extended vendor support are not supported by CA Technologies. Examples of third party products are: web server, application server, operating system, database, etc.

 

We are seeing a decline in third-party vendors supporting Oracle Solaris platform. Also, statistics show that CA Spectrum customers are migrating from Oracle Solaris Operating System to Linux based Operating Systems.

 

We recommend migrating to a version of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.x or 7.x. or using an alternate Operating System platform. By doing so, you continue to receive the latest updates to products by third-party vendors.
